The scent of scarlet sage

Today, scarlet sage is mainly used for its scent. It is thus cultivated in many countries and acclaimed by many perfumers. Its scent is obtained by steam distillation of its plant. Nevertheless, in order to obtain a concrete and an absolute one, it is preferable to proceed to its extraction by volatile solvents.
